Important Information for Applicants

Provenance is first and foremost a raiding guild that looks to continually progress and challenge itself with the latest content Blizz can through at us. By applying to join our ranks, you acknowledge this and believe you have what it takes to add value to our core progression team.

If you meet our minimum criteria, which is:

1) Can raid 3 nights a week (minimum);
2) Have a wowheroes gear score of 2500 (minimum);
3) Believe you have the attitude and aptitude to make the cut; and
4)Are responding to an advertised class vacancy

then we encourage you apply.

All applications are reviewed at length by our officers and councillors (gm’s). If you know some of our people and can supply a personal reference, that will certainly be taken into consideration.

All successful applicants must undergo a mandatory 2-3 week trial period . During this time you will be assessed against the above criteria. You will have the ability to roll for gear on invited raids (refer to our loot rules for further information on this).

Understand that on average only 50% of applicants make it to full membership, so if you are unsuccessful please do not take it personally, we set a high standard for entry. If this is the case, an officer will notify you and provide feedback as to the reason.

Please be aware that it is not uncommon for trial members to get very limited raid time during the 2-3 week trial period. preference in raid selection is given to raiders and members first. regular raid spots in prov must be earned, and it can become frustrating for new trial members who keep missing out on raid spots. be assured that persistence and dedication is noticed and will be rewarded in due course. If you have any concerns regarding this there is space at the bottom of the application to let us know.'

If you do successfully complete your trial period, you will be promoted to full member with the associated rights and privileges and formally welcomed into Provenance.

What is your raiding mainspec? do you have any offspec kits? if so what lvl gear are they, and would you be willing to respec at the request of a raid leader?

List the Flasks/elixirs/Food Buffs you take to each raid & why?

Is all your gear enchanted? Are you prepared to keep all your gear enchanted, all the time?

What addons do you use?

Can you please provide a screen capture of the UI you use in a raid environment?(This is not optional).

Explain your gemming, chants and glyphs. list any resources you use to assist you in determining the optimal gemming/chants/glyphs for your class/spec.

Explain what you generally do in a raid including your rotation/combo. list any resources you use to assist you in determining your optimal rotations/combo or otherwise.

Do you do any additional research and theory crafting for you class/spec not already listed?

Do you research boss fights and keep up-to-date with your class mechanics, if so where do you generally go to learn about these things?

Do you share internet connection in the house? Do you usually cap before the month is out?

Do you have PC hardware capable of supporting the ever growing video / RAM demands of the game in a resource heavy 25 man raiding environment i.e do you DC , slow FPS ?

Did someone ask you to apply or do you know anyone in Provenance?
